Fri 9th April Very Last OoR Gig – Last Harbour, Anna Kashfi, Samson & Delilah, Little Hero Band

[OoR24 – Friday 9th April 2010. Last Harbour, Anna Kashfi, Samson & Delilah, Little Hero. ]

After over 2 years of putting on these nights, the time is upon us to bow out for the time being. One of the aims of this OoR malarky was to bring great out of town bands to Lancaster, as well as supporting local talent. We’ve had around 70 different bands on, and a few of the local bands have played a few times each too on top of that.

Well that aim was true, and remains so with this last effort.

Before we go, we have one more cracking gig to put on. It features 3 Manchester bands all on Little Red Rabbit Recordings.

Last Harbour

are no strangers to the Yorkshire House, having played around 6 times over the last 4-5 years, and this gig is part of a national tour of the UK to promote their brand new album Volo. Anna Kashfi play live less regularly (in fact, this is the ONLY place to see them play live for the foreseeable future!), but have also played in Lancaster sporadically over the last 5 years – their new album also getting great reviews.

Samson & Delilah proved to be a big hit when they played in Lancaster for the first time in 2009.

Check out the Little Red Rabbit website where you can discover all kinds of stuff about the label HERE

To start the night off (and to give it some Local Lancastrian flavour) we’re having the wonderful Little Hero Band. Peter Rawlinson is the head honcho for this. Whislt Pete has been deploying his skills lately more in his heavier projects, this is a chance for fans to see his relatively soft underbelly! For this, Peter calls in his love of Smog, Will Oldham, Sivler Jews, Noah John and more and gives it his usual natural live approach. Aided tonight by the super-talented Ben McCabe on drums and er, me on bass.

4 bands, 4 quid. £3 concessions. 8.30-11.45pm

Friday 9th April 2010, Yorkshire House, Parliament Street, Lancaster LA1 1DB.
